Compensation: $17–$21/hour based on experience and skills
Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn, MA is hiring Veterinary Assistants to join our Emergency, Surgical, and Medicine teams. This full-time Veterinary Assistant opportunity is ideal for someone looking to build veterinary skills while working alongside experienced veterinarians and credentialed technicians in a specialty animal hospital.
Join a Level 1 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital where you’ll support high-acuity patient care, grow your clinical skills, and make an impact every shift.
Compensation
- $17–$21/hour, based on experience and skills

Schedule Choose the schedule that works best for you:
- Four 9-hour shifts per week (one weekend shift required)
- Five 8-hour shifts per week (no weekends)
Full-time opportunity with multiple scheduling options available.
Responsibilities Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare, disinfect, and maintain treatment areas, exam rooms, and equipment
- Laundry, dishes, and restocking supplies
- Provide safe and compassionate restraint during patient examinations and procedures
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians throughout the patient visit and treatment process
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical or emergency veterinary environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Team-focused, collaborative mindset with willingness to learn
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
