Salary: $64,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or data analysis
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting
• Experience with NCR/CAR systems or similar tracking processes
• Ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly
• Strong attention to detail and organizational discipline
• Preferred: manufacturing experience, particularly in sheet metal, HVAC, or similar environments
• Preferred: familiarity with ISO 9001 or structured quality systems
• Preferred: knowledge of root cause analysis methods such as 5 Why and Fishbone
• Preferred: experience with Power BI or other dashboarding tools

• Develop, maintain, and report quality KPIs, including scrap, rework, defect rates, and cost of poor quality (COPQ)
• Analyze trends to identify recurring issues and systemic risks, and prepare weekly and monthly quality dashboards for leadership
• Provide data insights to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Administer the nonconformance report (NCR) system, including record entry, tracking, closure compliance, failure categorization, and data accuracy
• Manage corrective action requests (CARs) by assigning owners and due dates, tracking progress, and supporting timely closure
• Support root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methods and monitor open and overdue actions
• Track and report COPQ, identify major cost drivers, recommend improvement priorities, and work with operations to validate financial impacts
• Maintain calibration logs and schedules, coordinate calibration activities, and ensure quality records are accurate and traceable
• Help develop and maintain work instructions, process flows, and inspection standards; keep documentation current and support training on updated processes
• Collaborate with production, engineering, process improvement, and quality teams on process issues
• Participate in quality review meetings and provide data for audits and compliance activities
• Occasionally support quality inspectors, verify data through production-floor observation, and connect reporting with actual operating conditions

We are McDaniel Metals, LLC, specializing in fabricating aftermarket HVAC components from sheet metal. Our operations use equipment including CNC lasers, panel benders, automated coil lines, CNC press brakes, and spot welders across three facilities totaling 160,846 square feet. This Quality Data Analyst role is based in an active manufacturing facility and combines analytical desk work with regular interaction on the production floor. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with data while staying connected to operations, brings a structured and process-focused approach, and is comfortable working in an industrial rather than traditional office environment. Success in the role is measured by accurate and timely KPI reporting, on-time NCR and CAR closure, fewer recurring defects, improved COPQ visibility and cost reduction, and complete, audit-ready documentation.
