This position is for a new Nami Nori concept in the Upper East Side, 1513 1st Ave, New York, NY 10075. This is for a Wed-Sun PM schedule

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for pulling and packing products for deliveries and providing culinary support to the commissary kitchen. Assisting prep cook as assigned by Chef on Duty.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pull and pack products for deliveries; label based on location and priority
• Fulfill daily orders accurately and on time
• Pack nori in a quick and efficient manner when assigned
• Load and unload up to 50 pounds of products
• Transition to prep cook support tasks throughout the shift as directed by the Sous Chef or BOH Shift Supervisor, including:
• Washing, peeling, and chopping produce
• Preparing ingredients for cooking
• Cleaning and cutting or grinding meat, fish, poultry, and shellfish
• Maintain cleanliness of all storage areas, including dry storage, walk-in cooler, freezers, and other storage areas
• Maintain sanitation to Department of Health standards
• Comply with OSHA and all applicable safety regulations
• Complete opening and closing side work checklist daily
• Complete deep cleaning projects as assigned each week
• Assist with washing dishes and cleaning as necessary
• Perform all other related duties as assigned by the management team

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Able to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Able to bend, stoop, stand, and perform extensive walking for 6–10 hours a day
• Able to go up and down stairs multiple times per day
• Adaptable in a fast-paced and demanding work environment
• Organized approach to shifting priorities and tasks
• Able to take and follow direction from the Sous Chef and BOH Shift Supervisor
• Approaches work with a sense of ownership and urgency
• Able to perform essential job functions under pressure while maintaining professionalism
• Polished personal presentation; grooming meets company standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Strict adherence to posted schedule; clocks in and out at scheduled times
• Communicates effectively and efficiently
• Attends all mandatory meetings
• Adheres to all HR policies and guidelines
