Job Description

GE HealthCare seeks a Field Service Engineer 1 to provide preventative maintenance and basic repairs on invasive and diagnostic cardiology equipment in the Columbus, OH region. The role involves independent troubleshooting, customer support, and learning advanced service skills from experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-time and accurate preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on assigned equipment
• Assist experienced field engineers with equipment installations and complex repairs
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic service issues independently and with team support
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and complete administrative documentation
• Answer service calls independently within one year of employment

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in electrical, biomedical, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent military education
• High school diploma/GED with minimum 2 years of electronic or electro-mechanical equipment servicing experience
• Valid driver's license and legal U.S. work authorization
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web applications
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform extended standing, bending, climbing, and reaching
• Willingness to travel for training
