Salary: $180,000 - 225,000 per year Requirements:

• Approximately 3 or more years of hands-on smart contract engineering or development experience.
• Experience developing, reviewing, testing, or maintaining production-grade or near-production smart contracts.
• Strong knowledge of smart contract architecture, security, testing, and validation practices.
• Solidity proficiency is strongly preferred.
• DAML experience is highly valued; Solana ecosystem experience is also considered.
• Familiarity with at least one other smart contract or blockchain development language, such as Rust, Move, Vyper, Cairo, or Clarity.
• Strong understanding of ERC standards, token types, and common smart contract patterns.
• Experience with digital assets, tokenization, Web3 platforms, decentralized applications, or blockchain consulting.
• Familiarity with smart contract testing frameworks and blockchain development best practices.
• Understanding of decentralized architecture patterns, including state management, gas optimization, and contract upgrade considerations.
• Knowledge of smart contract vulnerabilities, MEV-related risks, and mitigation strategies.

• Review and validate third-party smart contracts for functionality, security, performance, and alignment with business requirements.
• Evaluate contract architecture, design patterns, behavior, and potential technical or operational risks.
• Recommend security improvements and more efficient implementation approaches.
• Support tokenization initiatives, digital asset use cases, and blockchain proof-of-concept development.
• Develop, test, maintain, and optimize smart contracts as needed.
• Use defensive development practices, secure coding principles, and the Principle of Least Privilege in blockchain environments.

Were seeking a hands-on, individual-contributor Smart Contract Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading financial services organization expanding its digital assets and tokenization capabilities. Youll join a newly forming team supporting strategic blockchain use cases and proof-of-concept initiatives, with a focus on evaluating existing contracts and their technical and business implications. The role is based in Jersey City and requires four days onsite. The salary range is $180,000–$225,000, with comprehensive benefits.
